POSITION DETAILS
Reporting to the Hunter College Director of Bursar Operations, the Enrollment Bursar Coordinator will, in addition to the CUNY Title Overview, perform various tasks in the Office of the Bursar and Cashiering, including but not limited to the following:
• Perform the daily activities related to the collection of tuition and fees forthe college.
• Assist colleagues in researching and rectifying differences.
• Assist Bursar Specialist in preparing deposits daily.
• Coordinate with the staff to create and maintain efficient workflow within the Bursar’s Office
• Recommend payment options to students (and parents) regarding current and past-due tuition accounts to assist students in maintaining their enrollment with the College.
• Identify and prioritize billing and payment matters related to students' accounts; answer online, in person and phone inquiries.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree required.
Preferred qualifications:
Two years’ related experience .
CUNY or Higher Education experience
Knowledge of PeopleSoft/Oracle
Experience utilizing Microsoft Excel (Including Pivot Tables)
Experience utilizing Word and Power Point
Excellent oral, written communication and organizing skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work directly with a team and independently
Supervisory skills
CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW
Provides operational support for a College student accounts function.
Performs processing, collection, reconciliation and maintenance of student receivables
Counsels students in meeting college financial obligations including current tuition, prior receivables and methods of payment; responds to student account inquiries
Maintains revenue files; prepares reports as required
Assists in the review of student accounts; identifies and reports delinquent accounts
May assist in the evaluation and verification of student eligibility for various loans and grants
Provides support to ensure the smooth flow of business operations and completion of required administrative tasks within the office; may supervise clerical and/or part-time staff
Performs related duties as assigned.

Salary commensurate with education and experience ($44,411 - $60,394)
