About the role/team: 

　　Robinhood Software Developers build and own backend services and infrastructure that power our core U.S. financial products.  Developers supporting RH’s operations gain a unique look into how the U.S. financial systems work on the inside and strengthen their financial-domain knowledge. We strive for a high standard of engineering quality while solving unique scalability challenges.

　　We are only interested in candidates available for full-time roles.

What we expect you’ll do day-to-day:

About you:

　　5+ years of software engineering and development experience building high-throughput, low-latency distributed services.  Experience planning and leading large projects with long-term impact on multiple services and/or teams. Strong technical grasp and excellent judgment on project scoping and work prioritization. Able to tackle challenging software engineering and development problems in complex domains that deliver results. History of creating and applying new processes and tooling to increase engineering and development efficiency. Solid understanding of distributed systems, databases, batch processing systems. Strong understanding of data modeling and extensive experience in good API design practices (gRPC and/or REST). Experience building one or more large-scale services.
