Job Description

Oracle Real-Time Health System is focused on delivering revenue generating products for Oracle that allow our clients to have real time situational awareness of their hospital. The products facilitate the admission and movement of patients throughout their stay in the hospital, streamline secure communication capabilities for the care team, automate capture of device produced data, as well as ensure appropriate staffing levels for the facility to care for the patient population. These products leverage a combination of real-time data as well as predictive capabilities.

Responsibilities

As a member of the software engineering division for Oracle Real-Time Health System, you will analyze, design, code, review, debug, test new software. You will create technical designs for small-scope projects within the team, provide high-level architecture guidance, and develop specifications to resolve software problems. You will consult with stakeholders on current functionality and the complexity of adding features and estimate effort for current and future projects. In addition, you will debug issues that span multiple modules, propose process improvements, and share knowledge within your team. You will be working on a modern platform utilizing leading edge technologies and frameworks that will challenge and build your skills as an engineer.

Basic qualifications

BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent training or work experience

3-5+ years of software development experience

Preferred qualifications

Oracle Apex, React.js, JavaScript, HTML, RESTful APIs, Java Microservices, Spring Framework, and MySQL experience preferred.

Experience building modern web applications on cloud native platforms.

Proficient in object-oriented programming, MVC architecture, modern design patterns, and modularization

Working on engineering teams with a DevOps focus

Experience with observability tools

Experience with container orchestration systems and Docker

Excellent communication skills

Agile (Scrum, Kanban) experience

US: Hiring Range: from $62,100 to $158,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
