　　The Laundry Settings File Engineer - Associate role is located on the Laundry Settings File team within the Performance Subsystem.

　　This role in summary

　　The primary function of this role is to deliver an integrated software design that provides the requested performance, features and functions for washers and dryers. This global role offers endless opportunities to work on all types of global designs and machine types and provides numerous experiences to help you learn and grow in your career.

　　Your responsibilities will include

　　Implementation, integration, and Verification & Validation for cycle designs within proprietary Whirlpool software development tool.

　　Use of IBM Rational Toolset to validate test plans, analyze defects, and verify solutions related to settings file design.

　　System level attribute delivery for cycle selector design changes on at least 1 dryer type (air vented, heat pump, and/or condenser) or 1 washer type (washer only or combo).

　　Delivery and support of new models, cost, and quality projects.

　　Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, risk assessment, and Six Sigma/OPEX tools to assist in decision making.

　　Work closely with the setting file Verification & Validation (V&V) team, electrical system integrator, cycle design engineer, and software team to ensure all features and functions are implemented, tested, defects logged in IBM RTC, and root cause identified.

　　Work closely with system integrator, electrical system integrator, cycle design engineer and the entire technical team on delivering product requirements on time as an integrated package.

　　Accountable for final release of associated software, documentation and prints into Windchill.

　　Improve existing test methods and test plans for software validation.

　　Responsible for continuous improvement of development process including:

　　Validation test methods and test plans reducing test cycle time and improving ability to detect quality issues earlier in development.

　　Process documentation creation and release

　　Minimum requirements

　　Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science

　　Proficient knowledge of English

　　Proficient knowledge of Google script, Python, C programming, or similar software languages.

　　Preferred skills and experiences

　　Bachelors Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronic, Electronics, Software, or Computer Engineering

　　Basic knowledge of Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA’s), Six Sigma/OPEX tools, project and risk management, and Agile development

　　Experience with projects using a stage-gate process

　　Effective communication skills

　　Ability to work cross functionally and globally

　　Basic understanding of Algorithm, Firmware, Sensors, and operation / physics of washers and dryers.
