　　If this sounds like an environment you would thrive in, Fuel Engineering Technologyis looking for a Software Development Engineer to join the Software Design Engineering Team and perform complex software design, and provide technical leadership in design, development, training, performance, and delivery of complex products and services.

　　Major Focus of Position:Perform software engineering design and testing in support of the Westinghouse nuclear analysis, utility, and related code systems in a strongly regulated software environment. This includes software tasks through all phases of the lifecycle, including setting requirements, defining software and data designs, implementing the designs in code, developing test plans, executing test plans, and documenting each of these phases.

　　In this position, a successful candidate can expect to work as part of a team including but not limited to:Develop, modify, and maintain software applications on Linux and Windows platformsPerform software verification and validationDocument the work that was performed, in accordance with required engineering proceduresLead or participate in code reviews and inspections of work performed by peersSupporting general Nuclear Fuel Engineering Design code, procedure and methods development and updatesParticipate in training to obtain qualifications in the Software Engineering functional areasDeveloping software project proposals including: technical scope descriptions, schedules and cost estimatesCommunicate effectively with software development team including status reporting (e.g., quality, budget, schedule)Developing methodologies to implement advanced technologies into nuclear design software

　　As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related Discipline (eg, Software Engineering)Experience with modern programming languages such as C/C++, Fortran 95/2003, Java, Python, or C#/.NETWorking understanding of data modeling approachesExperience with Microsoft Office applications: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, AccessStrong interpersonal skills, experience working effectively in an international team-oriented environmentPossess a mindset for finding, analyzing and efficiently solving variety of software related problemsPossess a mindset for working in a regulated business industry following defined processes and proceduresWork closely with mentor and colleagues; give and receive constructive criticism and display questioning attitudeHighly organized and task focusedMotivated to self-learn and developEffective English communications skills, written and oralAbility to work effectively in an international team-oriented environmentExtra Consideration for Candidates with knowledge and experience in:Nuclear engineering knowledge and experienceExperience with Motif
