　　The Position

　　Social Workers are licensed professionals who provide case management services to children, families, vulnerable adults with intellectual, developmental, physical disabilities, serious mental illness, and older adults (collectively referred to as "vulnerable adults") and other individuals within local communities and institutions.

　　Incumbents perform in a trainee capacity and acquire the knowledge, skills and abilities required in this occupation.

　　The DIVISION OF CHILD AND FAMILY SERVICES (DCFS) is recruiting for a Social Worker 1 underfilling a Social Worker 3 position for the Adoption Unit in Fernley. This is a full-time position and a Nevada Social Work license is a requirement for employment. A social worker for the Adoption Unit will be responsible to deliver strength-based family centered case management permanency services to families, with a goal of adoption, that promote the safety and well-being and permanency of children; to include implementing plans of care; including home visits, monitoring service, court report preparation and record keeping. Ensure children have their medical, mental health and educational needs met. 　　Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)

　　Licensure or provisional licensure as a Social Worker, Clinical Social Worker, Independent Social Worker or Associate in Social Work.Special Requirements

　　This position is subject to call-out or call-back. Working evenings, weekends, and/or holidays is required by the Division of Child and Family Services. A valid driver's license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment. A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant. Licensure or provisional licensure by the State of Nevada Board of Examiners for Social Workers as a Social Worker, Clinical Social Worker, Independent Social Worker, or Associate in Social Work is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of employment.The Examination
