Base Pay: Starting rate of pay is $ 18.69 per hour, after successful 6-month probationary period rate per hour will increase to $19.62 per hour.  If previous experience working in child protective service field, rate of pay will be commensurate with experience.

　　JOB DUTIES:

　　Van Wert County Department of Job and Family Services is seeking a Social Services Worker 2 to work one-on-one with families to promote child safety. This individual should be driven and energetic to manage a complex caseload in a fast-paced environment.

　　Significant amount of time spent in the field conducting interviews and gathering information and routine home visits. Cooperates with the law enforcement officials, attorneys, and prosecutors. Offers testimony at court hearings/trials periodically.

　　Serves as on-call worker assigned to handle after hour emergencies.
