　　Consultants please conduct a seated interview. Applicants must have 20days experience with Farm / Irrigation / Livestock work. Applicantshired must be able to obtain a valid driver\'s license as driving onpublic roads may be required. Applicants must be able to lift up to 100pounds. Dates of need are (3/15/2024 10/31/2024) This order is for workin Jerome, Idaho area. Worker will be required to perform a variety ofduties related to the production of potatoes, hay, corn and wheat. Themajority of the work activities during the overall contract period,however, will be related to general farm work/irrigation/cropproduction. General Farm Work will include the followingresponsibilities: maintain, drive, attach and operate farmimplements/tractors/equipment to till soil, plant, cultivate, fertilizeand harvest crops; make minor mechanical adjustments and repairs on farmmachinery; remove undesirable and excess growth from crops or farmgrounds; remove rocks from field; replace/repair fencing; performgeneral cleanup of farm areas; drive, load/unload trucks; operate motorbike or all-terrain vehicle in the course of performing duties.Irrigation duties will include the following: Hand lines: connect pipes;check alignment of pipe and adjust for proper water distribution; attachlines to water supply; turn on pump; turn valves to start flow of water;disassemble lines and carry pipes across fields at specified intervals;move pipes through freshly irrigated crops and/or plowed fields wheremud may be deep at times; lift and carry pipe sections weighingapproximately 40 pounds on a sustained basis. Wheel lines: startgasoline engines and operate controls to move lines across fields atspecified intervals. Pivots: push on switch that activates circlesprinkler system. Other Irrigation Duties: remove pipes/wheel lines fromstorage and lay out/place in predetermined patterns in fields;lubricate, adjust, repair and replace parts such as sprinkler heads anddrive chains using hand tools; observe revolving sprinklers and adjustto ensure proper operation and uniform distribution of water;disassemble, service and store pipes/mainlines/wheel lines afterirrigation season. To meet minimum acceptable performance standards whenirrigating, the worker must, after a 10 day conditioning period, move anaverage of at least 48 40-foot sections of 3-inch pipe or 44 40-footsections of 4-inch pipe per hour under normal working conditions. Dutiesrelated to the Cutting/Sorting of Seed Potatoes will include thefollowing: Will apply techniques as instructed by the employer to cutand sort potatoes by: place potatoes on machine that cuts potatoes intosections; push button to start machinery; tend/ monitor machine toinsure proper movement of product; discard diseased/rotting/inferiorproduct and foreign matter; report malfunctions; general cleanup. Dutiesrelated to the Packing of Produce will include the following: Will applytechniques as instructed by the employer to: cleanup around conveyorsand worksite; place produce in containers or on designated conveyors;select cappers. Duties related to the Harvesting of Potatoes willinclude the following: Will apply techniques as instructed by theemployer to: remove rocks from rows in front of harvesting equipment;discard diseased/rotting product; alert equipment operator of equipmentclogging/malfunctions; aid operator in correct machine performance.
