About Site Safety Manager

  General Description:The Site Safety Manager ensures that the Company complies with all applicable federal, state, and local Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations. Under the direction of the Safety Director, this position is responsible for assisting with the development, implementation, and auditing of safety policies across a wide spectrum of levels. This individual will directly interact with field employees, Company Management, and customers. The Safety Manager will provide oversight management of all service HSE activities in their area, provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to all Site Safety personnel, provide all levels of the area management team with the services and technical advice needed, for the proper administration of the Company's HSE and Injury/Illness Prevention Programs. This includes supporting the company's established network for the communication of HSE matters, managing HSE programs at jobsites, supporting other Site Safety Managers, and developing and maintaining a strong HSE culture within the area.Supervises: N/AEssential Duties & ResponsibilitiesAssist the Safety Director with oversight and implementation of company safety processes on the jobsiteRespond, oversee and facilitate appropriate injury management and incident investigation/ communication throughout for the jobsiteAssist with Managing ACCO's safety programs through development, implementation, and management of the Company's safety policiesEnsure ACCO's compliance with federal, state and local safety lawsProvide oversight management for service HSE activitiesProvide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to field personnel, and provide all levels of the construction management team with the services and technical advice needed for the proper administration of the Company's HSE and Injury/Illness Prevention ProgramsCollaborate with other managers in the division in developing and maintaining a strong safety culture within the service department while ensuring that the Company complies with all applicable federal, state, and local HSE regulationsWork with the customer and site general contractor to ensure ACCO is in compliance with their standards and proceduresProvide safety training as needed at a site levelPosition Requirements (Skills, Work Experience, Education, Certifications, Licenses, etc.):Ensure a safe and healthy working environment for employees, customers and the publicAct as the technical safety advisor to Company management and supervision and ensure that ACCO personnel comply with all relevant current labor laws and regulations as well as with new regulations affecting the industry and/or operationsPerform frequent safety inspections and audits at the job sitePerform frequent job walks and job/ site hazard analysis with supervision and sales staff as necessary for pro-active safety planning and decision-making purposesPerform incident investigations, reports, and help to develop corrective actions as necessary. Identifies key injury and/or safety trends and communicates such to managementEnsure that the appropriate safety records are maintainedFacilitate cultural change to drive Company safety performanceMentor and coach management towards achieving a positive and pro-active cultureschedule, facilitate, and track safety training to ensure compliance with relevant regulationsMay act as company representative on issues relating to environmental protection concerns and interfaces as necessary with environmental regulatory agencies and audits project site compliance with environmental protection requirementsParticipate in educational opportunities, reads professional and technical publications, maintain personal networks, and participates in professional organizations to maintain technical knowledgeAssumes additional responsibilities as directed by company executivesAdditi
