About Site Reliability Engineer

  What You'll Do

  We are looking for a site reliability automation engineer who can help build the infrastructure for test automation enabling release management. Work with team members to build and complete test plans/automation. Work with development leads on preparing a release management plan, helping implement the plan through scripts/automation. Additionally, designs and deploys complex solutions to optimize reliability, availability, latency and performance.

  Automate the current backlog of manual test cases and automate the new features.

  Monitor platforms and work with developers & operations to identify problems and develop monitoring tools that provide insight into performance and reliability.

  Write test plans and test scripts.

  Enable release management with automation.

  Integrates knowledge of design, automation and deployment with expertise in coding to improve service reliability for existing or new systems.

  Ability to work on multiple projects/as projects change - We are a central group, so this is a must-have to work in a fast-paced environment.

We will design and deliver intranet experience requirements based on a culture of inclusivity, compassion, inspiration, and collective drive for the future of work. Using real-time connected data, machine learning, and automation; this team will enable Cisco employees with a resourceful, personalized and simplified digital workspace that proactively delivers employee services.

  Who You Are

  You are passionate about technology innovation. You are a critical thinker and problem solver. You have experience working with diverse and multiple time zone teams. You truly believe in the importance of employee experience.

  Minimum Requirements:

  Bachelors in Computer Science or related field and 7+ years of experience in test automation/creating automation frameworks OR Masters in Computer Science or related field and 4+ years of experience in test automation/creating automation frameworks.

  Comprehensive knowledge of agile software engineering processes, tools, methods, test development and support.

  Exposure to application development for the web using languages/frameworks such as JavaScript, NodeJS, Gatsby, React, Angular, Spring Boot, Redis Cache, Kubernetes and Adobe Experience Manager.

  Experience with QA automation tools and technologies such as Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, JUnit, Postman, and REST Client.

  Preferred Requirements:

  Testing experience with various browsers and Windows/Mac/Unix systems.

  Demonstrated ability to lead through influence in highly matrixed organizations.

  Experience using, authenticating, and building APIs (REST/SOAP).

  Excellent communication skills.
