As an SRE for your team, you will be responsible for helping ensure the reliability, scalability, and availability of the Fusion Application for all of Oracle’s next generation Cloud Infrastructure. You will work with the development team to design, implement, and maintain a highly available and scalable system and identify areas for improvement that continuously improves the team’s production operations. The ideal candidate should have Experience in Oracle Database Administration including RAC (Real Application clusters), Backup & Restore using RMAN. Experience in software development, systems administration, and automation. You should have knowledge of cloud computing, containers, and microservices. You should be able to work independently and as part of a team. You should be an expert communicator to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in multiple locations around the globe. You should also be able to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment, be results-driven, and thrive even when faced with ambiguity and uncertainty. Your experience in monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving issues in production systems should be an example to the rest of the team as you help guide others in operational best practices. Most importantly, you should be a team player, someone who is eager to learn, and willing to do whatever it takes to help the team succeed.

Responsibilities and Required Experience
Bachelor of Engineering or Maters degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Minimum of 6 years of experience in an SRE/DevOps related position and minimum of 5 years of Oracle database Administration
Experience in Oracle Database Administration including RAC (Real Application clusters), Backup & Restore using RMAN
Experience with Infrastructure-As-Code Tools like Terraform, build automation, continuous integration, or continuous deployment tools such as Git, Jenkins, Maven, Grunt, RunDeck, Ansible, etc.
Expert knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, including a understanding of microservices and associated technologies.
Expert knowledge of Linux/Unix.
Solid understanding of databases, NoSQL systems, storage, and distributed persistence
Excellent troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to all audiences.
Working experience with Java, Python or Shell
Experience with working flexible hours and working with team members in a global setting with distributed time zones.
