Eaton’s Commercial Products and Assemblies division is currently seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer. This role is located in Sumter, SC.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $91,500 - $120,200 a year.

The Supplier Quality Engineer will assure customer satisfaction & operational performance through deployment of our Quality Management System as it relates to supplier quality performance. The SQE will ensure performance by owning supplier quality metrics, supplier quality assessments, incoming inspection & test, and driving supplier quality performance to achieve our business and operational objectives.

What you’ll do:
Provide overall leadership and direction for the Supplier Quality Function. This includes on-going performance improvement including during BPI, Quality and Lean activities.
Responsible for the quality performance and inspection of incoming product from suppliers into operations.
Manage the improvement and reporting of supplier quality performance indicators: Supplier PPM, Validation and Test Audit data, Internal Quality Alerts, Non-conforming material quality communication, external component quality alerts, and A3s, 3ups as needed.
Drive continuous improvement through accomplishment of identified & assigned projects.
Develop and analyze statistical data and product / process specifications to determine present standards and establish quality and reliability requirements for purchased products.
Owns Production Part Approval Processes, First Article inspection and customer specific requirements are performed and/or achieved as required.
Comply with all requirements and communication related to the management of supplier performance and supplier claims, including the compliance to related corporate and/or internal policies and procedures (APQP/PPAP, Supplier Certification, Supplier DPPM and DMR Management).
Identify and implement capital projects, productivity, and cost out projects driven by supplier quality.
Monitor performance of internal and outside supplier’s quality, identify root cause, and lead the implementation of corrective and preventive actions to achieve business objectives.
Ensure timely implementation of corrective actions on opportunities identified during assessments, tier meetings, or quality reviews.
Conduct supplier quality audits to identify opportunities for improvement and lead the implementation of corrective actions.
Lead internal/external ISO/EQMS audits.
Qualifications:
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or technical program from an accredited university.
Minimum of 2 years manufacturing or quality experience.
Must be authorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience leading Supplier Quality improvement programs
ISO 9001 Internal Auditor
Certified Quality Engineer or Certified Quality Manager certificate.
Certified Six Sigma Greenbelt.
