  Job Description SummaryAAM is looking for a self starter and dynamic leader to support our Driveline team in Detroit!

  The Site Leader will manage overall manufacturing staff, processes, and equipment to include production operations, manufacturing engineering, and workforce utilization. They will lead the manufacturing function within budget and output targets to meet customer requirements and standards. They will be fully accountable for ensuring safety, customer quality, cost, and delivery requirements are met. This individual will also be responsible for developing an enthusiastic, motivated, and flexible team by building working relationships and ensuring that Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements are adhered to. They will implement and manage continuous improvement and modern manufacturing principles by highlighting deficiencies and recommending changes in training, working practices, and processes.

  Job DescriptionStrategy & DevelopmentContribute to the creation and implementation of best practice manufacturing vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.Identify business improvement opportunities within the organization.

  General & Task ManagementEffectively and efficiently manage the production of the required daily/weekly/monthly targets that meet quality and delivery expectations while minimizing costs.Ensure the required best-working practices are maintained at all times and drive process improvements on Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) by appropriate data analysis.Responsible for plant production, financial performance, associate staffing, material supply,meeting customer requirements and maintaining the orderly and productive operation of planned activities.Ensure daily attainment of productivity & delivery and adherence to all applicable processes, procedures, and policies.Collaborate with functional support team at TRMF and other AAM departments.Perform root cause analysis and resolve problemsIdentify and deploy the technical skill sets, resource levels and systems to deliver projects, including the engagement of external resources as required.Directs cross functional manufacturing team in SQDCM improvement process and activities of group leaders, team leaders, and indirect staffing.Ensure that the function operates in accordance with any health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors.

  People ManagementManage, coach and develop a high performing manufacturing team that meets agreed objectives and which delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements.Set department objectives/KPIs and review and assess ongoing performance of direct reports.Report on achievement of targets (labor, overhead and PIP's) and identify any acti
