  Job Summary

  The Role

  "This Job Matters" - What’s the job?

  This position is responsible for receiving, storage, packing and shipment of raw materials and finished goods and the maintenance of inventory control records.

  The following duties will be performed by the successful candidate:

  Receives finished product from the Value Streams, reviews instructions and customer specifications for packing and shipping.

  Packs order following appropriate procedures. Weighs shipment, addresses container and loads onto skid.

  Creates appropriate shipment documents such as a bill of lading and export documents. Contacts freight carriers to coordinate shipments as necessary.

  Operates online shipping systems, computer, calculator, forklift, pallet jack, dock leveler and hand tools.

  Receives raw materials and equipment necessary for production of customer orders and tools scheduled for rework, by mail, express carriers (UPS, Federal Express, etc.) and trucking carriers. Ensures the carriers follow Company safety standard for Warehousing and Loading/Unloading.

  Identifies contents of all incoming shipments, takes count, checks for damages, makes entries into ERP system or log journals for accurate record keeping and notifies purchasing and other appropriate individuals.

  Uncrates, organizes, sorts, and prepares goods for storage or distribution to designated department(s).

  Performs a variety of material distribution tasks to deliver materials to work areas.

  Conducts appropriate transactions in ERP system (SAP) that account for changes in inventory balances.

  Maintains accurate records and logs.

  Maintains clean and orderly work area by actively participating in the 5S program.

  Follows all safety procedures, including the wearing of required protective equipment and adhering to Company Safety Standards.

  Performs other duties and cross training as directed by Department Supervisor.

  “Your Skills Matter” - What do you bring?

  A high school diploma or its equivalency.

  Minimum one year experience in a warehouse environment.

  Must have experience using email, internet, web based computer applications and ERP system. (Outlook, Word, Excel, SAP)

  Experience using FedEx and UPS online shipping systems strongly preferred.

  Must be a certified forklift driver or have the ability to become certified.

  Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions and have basic reading, writing, and math skills.

  Must possess good verbal and written communication skills including the ability to write legibly.

  Must have good eye and hand coordination to complete job tasks.

  Ability to work effectively with others in a team environment.

  Environment and Physical Requirements. The job requires: • Ability to push, pull and lift up to 30 lbs. consistently, 40 lbs. frequently and 50 lbs. occasionally • Ability to maintain a high level of frequency and intensity in other physical activities including: pulling, pushing, carrying, standing, bending, reaching, walking, stooping, kneeling and crouching • Good eye and hand coordination • Use of personal protective equipment. Ability to tolerate exposure to modest amounts of heat, cold, dust and noise.
