An exciting and challenging career opportunity to be part of the Quality team as a Regulatory Compliance Engineer responsible for regulatory compliance and audit coordination!
You will manage internal and supplier audit and surveillance programs to validate compliance with applicable quality standards and Environmental, Safety, and Health (ESH) regulations. This includes scheduling and tracking supplier qualification audits performed by Quality Assurance Engineering. Monitor applicable regulations and standards for changes and initiate action to ensure the company maintains alignment with applicable requirements. Be the lead for all outreach with local, state and regional federal regulatory officials and coordinates outreach with federal regulatory officials when necessary. Lastly, the lead for coordinating all external (i.e., customer or regulatory) audits and surveillances including post-audit corrective action and follow-up.

Your Challenge:
Develops and manages an integrated internal and external audit and surveillance program to ensure compliance with applicable requirements for quality assurance (including supplier quality), ESH, and other areas as requested by senior management.
Develops and implements an outreach plan to build relationships with local, state and regional federal regulatory officials. Serves as the lead for any regulatory (e.g., EPA, OSHA) facility inspection.
Serves as the lead interface for external (e.g., customer, government, ISO 9001 registrar, etc.) audits.
Leads cross-functional teams in developing formal responses to external audits.
Is a leader in continuous improvement.
Develops and implements a deficiency and corrective action tracking program.
Reviews and disseminates regulatory reference information that may affect facility operations.
Your Expertise :
Bachelor Degree in a technical, engineering, or science-related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 9 years relevant experience; or
Master’s Degree in a technical, engineering, or science-related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 7 years relevant experience
Must be a sole US citizen and able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance
Strong oral and written communication skills with knowledge of MS Office.
Preferences:
Navy Nuclear Propulsion Program experience including direct experience coordinating regulatory audits, responding to audit findings, and interfacing with regulatory officials
Independent auditing experience
Experience with Navy, ISO 9001, NQA-1, or 10 CFR 50 compliant quality programs
ISO 9001 Certified Auditor
Ability to understand statistical inference
Good presentation skills
Experience with Environmental, Safety, and Health regulation
