Job Title: Shift SupervisorFLSA Status: Full Time - non-exemptReports to: Program SupervisorSchedule: FT, TBDSupervises: Shelter StaffRate of Pay: $23.10/hourClosing Date: 1/21/2024Benefits: Standard; Full-Time, Non-Exempt employees are eligible for butnot limited to the following:Health, vision, dental, life as well as voluntary life and disabilityinsuranceSick leave benefit - 1 day per month, 12 sick days per year (accrual andavailability begins at hire)Vacation benefit - 10 vacation days per year, accrued at the rate of .0385hours for each hour worked, excluding overtime (accrual begins at hire butmay not be used until the completion of six months of employment)One floating day off for use (accrued immediately, and again annually,but may not be used until the completion of the initial three-monthintroductory period of employment)Pension Plan (after one year of continuous service)Voluntary Tax-Deferred Annuity Plan (403(b)plan)Function:The Crossroads Shift Supervisor is responsible for assisting the ProgramSupervisor in the day-to-day operations of the shelter and staff atCrossroads. The primary responsibility of this position is providingleadership and supervision to the staff, volunteers and clients during theevening and overnight, including training, safety, and policies andprocedures. This individual will also be the representative and advocate forthe shelter, and Salvation Army, at all assigned and appropriate communitymeetings and activities. The individual in this position will seek insightsand understanding of the people we serve, to determine the needs we mayaddress and to aid people in changing the pattern of their lives in order tofunction more effectively in society. This individual will fill in duringevening shifts when management is on leave, which may include weekends.Duties and Responsibilities:Assist the Shelter Program Supervisor in day-to-day operations of the shelter.Exercise initiative and judgement in approaching problems and creatingrealistic solutions in the shelter.Maintain on-going professional relationship in all interpersonal contacts(note confidentiality requirements).Assist the Crossroads Administration in planning and training for staff.Be knowledgeable in implementing the Bed agreement with staff and residents.Ensure that all Salvation Army policies are observed.Other duties as assigned. Supervisory experience required. Must musthave/obtain current certification in first aid and CPR skills or obtain themwithin six months of hire. Crisis intervention and non-violent mediationskills required. Must have a current Colorado Driver's License with theability to be insured under The Salvation Army criteria
