Reference #: STSRMOCleveland-Cliffs Steelton has an immediate opening for a Shift Manager in our Rolling Mills department. As a Shift Manager at Cleveland-Cliffs Steelton, you will be part of a team making steel that goes into products that are visible all around you. The successful candidate will provide leadership in ensuring that work is performed safely to efficiently produce and deliver quality steel products to our customers.

　　Summary of Responsibilities:Lead and monitor Safety compliance and performance of Rolling Mill and WBF.Input operating information to the scheduling of all rolling operations.Manage the daily production and operation of the 44" mill and WBF.Manage scheduling and training of employees.Provide support to employees and co-workers on quality related issues.Interact with mill maintenance to organize timely repairs and PM.Manage the discipline and grievance process for the 44" mill and WBF according to the CBA.Maintain parts inventory of bearings, guides, saw blades, etc.Support efforts to increase shipments and minimize inventory.Directly supervises hourly employees.Develop continuous improvement projects.Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including additional hours and weekends as required.Willingness to work different shifts, including nights and afternoons.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor of Science degree in a technical field or business or 5 years of planner/scheduler experience in a large manufacturing facility.3-5 years of supervisory experience in large manufacturing facility.Good troubleshooting and team building skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Microsoft Project.Ability to lift up to 35 pounds on occasion.Climbing, kneeling, bending, stooping, walking, use of hands, etc. is required.Other duties as assigned.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in a union environment Applicants for this position must be currently legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. is the largest flat-rolled steel company and the largest iron ore pellet producer in North America.
