Job Description
Work with a world class team to provide enterprise-wide, Fusion SaaS and DB support for production systems and provide SRE services to application development teams, including database design, database generation, coding, and database/application production support. Provide DBA support with a high degree of customer service, technical expertise, and timeliness. Deliver accurate and creative solutions to user problems of moderate nature to ensure user efficiency.
Understand the end-to-end configuration, technical dependencies, and nuances of managing a large sized fleet. This job provides an outstanding opportunity to work in Fusion Site Reliability Engineering organization and gain experience in powerful SaaS technologies - Fusion Apps , Fusion Middleware Stack (including Weblogic, Business Intelligence, Identity Management, Enterprise Content Management, etc), Exadata/ExaCS, Oracle RDBMS / DBaaS and 19c GI Infrastructure.
Responsibilities
As a Principal consultant , you are instrumental in researching, evaluating, designing, testing, recommending, and planning implementation of new solutions for Fusion SaaS . May act as a team lead during database implementations and for system operation and maintenance. Responsibilities includes validation and uptake of technical components in DB , Exadata and Fusion SaaS Control Plane . Collaborate with various cloud operations and engineering teams for production solutions.
Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very sophisticated, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 10 years of experience supporting relational databases as a DBA, with multiple distributed relational DBSM’s or a depth and focus in Oracle and related tools. Success at using the DBMS to optimize performance of large databases for enterprise use is greatly preferred. Experience with an organization with a key 24 X 7 reliance on its database is desirable.
Technical qualifications:
BS/MS any computer science related major
Knowledge of Programming Languages Java, Python, Perl etc
10+ years as Oracle DBA coordinating 10G, 11G , 12C
Validation ( Install, configure, patch) and Production support for DB / Exadata / GI patching on 19c platform and beyond
Extensive in-depth operations management for patching along the techstack - RDBMS , Clusterware , Exadata
Solid Understanding of Oracle 11g/12c ASM, RAC setup and administration, CDB/PDB etc
Solid Understanding of Standby Database setups, RMAN Backups and Recovery, GoldenGate setup, administration and tuning
Strong SQL, PL/SQL and shell scripting skills
Experience with Oracle middle-ware technologies used with Oracle Apps
Experience of performing database management
Knowledge on Oracle Fusion Middle-ware /Weblogic
Experience with bash/csh scripting language. Perl would be preferred
Solid grasp of multiple operating system including Linux
Knowledge Oracle Exa Data, Virtual Machine, networking would be preferredExperience with Oracle tools ( Enterprise Manager, SQL Developer, etc )
Ability to work well under pressure in distributed team environment, on multiple projectsWillingness to learn new technologies
