About Shift Manager 1222

  JOB REQUIREMENTS: Train workers in food preparation, and in service,sanitation, and safety procedures. Supervise and participate in kitchenand dining area cleaning activities. Resolve customer complaintsregarding food service. Record production, operational, and personneldata on specified forms. Recommend measures for improving workprocedures and worker performance to increase service quality andenhance job safety. Present bills and accept payments. Perform variousfinancial activities, such as cash handling, deposit preparation, andpayroll. Perform personnel actions, such as hiring and firing staff,providing employee orientation and training, and conducting supervisoryactivities, such as creating work schedules or organizing employee timesheets. Perform food preparation and serving duties, such as carvingmeat, preparing flambe dishes, or serving wine and liquor. Observe andevaluate workers and work procedures to ensure quality standards andservice, and complete disciplinary write-ups. Inspect supplies,equipment, and work areas to ensure efficient service and conformance tostandards. Greet and seat guests, and present menus and wine lists.Assign duties, responsibilities, and work stations to employees inaccordance with work requirements. Compile and balance cash receipts atthe end of the day or shift. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE ANDQUALIFICATIONS: What will you be doing in the restaurant? Beadaptable to a variety of situations to support your team\'s abilitiesand knowledge to handle their roles in meeting customer needs. Remaincalm and utilize your knowledge to help diffuse and resolve customerissues and employee wellness concerns. Provide coaching and positivefeedback to your team in developing their professional and personalskills to take on new challenges.
