　　This position is responsible to provide furnace clean-out, set-up maintenance support to Morgantown's Melt Shop Operations.Responsibilities:Clean-out melt chambers, feed systems, D.P. wings, ingot can, and other furnace areas as assigned.Accept responsibility for setting up furnace chambers for production as assigned, including changing molds, feeders, shields, etc.Clean and maintain E.B. Furnace viewports, sample lock valves, sample taker, and swivel feed-thru equipment to minimize the possibility of leaks and failures.Learn to operate helium leak detectors and assist E.B. Furnace Operators with leak checking requirements.Learn to operate the lid cleaning backhoe.Inspect hearths, endblocks, molds, and dovetail puller assemblies regularly during clean-outs and/or after they are removed from a melting campaign.Education & Experience:High school diploma/GED required; trade school or additional training preferred.Strong mechanical aptitude. Mechanical assembly experience highly preferredAbility to work with heavy rigging, piping, weld and torch cut.Forklift, crane-operating experience highly preferred.Must be able to wear a respirator and work in confined spaces.Lift up to 35 lbs1
