Job Title: Service Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing and removing large electronic machinery, custom signage, and making necessary modifications to walls and install islands for equipment installation. This role requires long-distance travel with overnight stays, for which a per diem is provided. The Service Technician will engage with clients professionally, use a tablet/app for DOT logs and job communication, and maintain composure under pressure while troubleshooting problems.

Responsibilities

Drive a truck long distances, requiring overnight stays (per diem provided)

Install and remove large electronic equipment (Lobby, Through-the-Wall, Island Models)

Install custom signage

Modify walls and islands for equipment installation

Use a tablet/app for all DOT logs, job communication, and to send pictures

Use power tools and drive a forklift

Engage with clients in a positive and professional manner

Maintain composure under pressure and troubleshoot problems

Communicate and explain job details with the installation team

Work safely with minimal supervision

Essential Skills

Electrical and mechanical aptitude

Troubleshooting, assembly, repair, and service skills

Experience in installation and rigging

Ability to read schematics and blueprints

Confidence using hand and power tools

Additional Skills Qualifications

High school diploma/GED

Experience in carpentry, construction, and heavy equipment moving is a plus

Ability to read floor plans

Ability to stand and walk for the majority of the work shift

Capability to push, pull, lift or carry 75+ lbs

Strong communication skills, including written, oral, and listening

Personal character in accordance with company’s core values and beliefs

This is a Permanent position based out of Elk Grove Village, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $70000.00

5 Tier Pay Structure depending on skill

Home every weekend

Fuel Card

Will work with a lead service tech until fully trained and able to be a lead themselves. 3-6 months

40-60 hours per week (if jobs are completed early, they can head back and have friday off)

Paid drive time

$166/day per diem

Workplace Type

This is a fully onsite position in Elk Grove Village,IL.
