　　Position: Field Inspection Engineering Internship- GBA

　　Location: Lenexa, KS

　　Intern- Field Inspection Engineering

　　GBA is welcoming civil engineering, construction management, and otherrelevant major students to join us this summer for an internship tosupport our Transportation Group in our Lenexa, Kansas headquartersoffice. This person will assist with inspection of roadway and bridgeprojects, field materials testing and the desire to lead projects. Weare willing to educate and train individuals with the desire to grow inthe inspection field.

　　Responsibilities:

　　Read and interpret plans and specificationsPerform field materials testing on soil, aggregates, concrete, andasphaltObserve and inspect construction to achieve compliance with contractdocumentsPerform project documentation, keeping timely and accurate reportingPrepare pay applications, change orders and general administrativedutiesPerform environmental inspectionsRequirements:

　　Pursuing BS or MS in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, orother related field from an accredited program.Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and ExcelSelf-motivated, optimistic attitudeExcellent organizational and computer documentation skillsAbility to stand for long periods of timeAbility to lift and carry field equipment and samples for testing,50lb lift test requiredExcellent verbal and written communication skillsMust have a valid drivers license and be able to pass a physical anddrug screeningIts More Than Just A Job
