Description
We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Controller in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This is a hybrid position, primarily remote but ability to go in-office a couple times per week is required. The Controller of this healthcare organization will be responsible for financial planning, risk management, record-keeping, and financial reporting, among other duties.
Responsibilities:
• Implementing and managing all financial aspects of the company including accounting software systems and CRM
• Overseeing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Conducting regular audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations
• Managing budget processes and providing financial forecasts
• Utilizing financial software systems to streamline financial management processes
• Handling the company's financial transactions and reporting them accurately
• Coordinating with other departments to gather and interpret financial information
• Ensuring that all financial operations align with company's goals and regulatory requirements
• Developing strategies to boost the company's financial health
• Preparing detailed financial reports and presenting them to the management.
Requirements
• Proficient in accounting software systems
• Demonstrable skills in customer relationship management (CRM)
• Proven ability to handle all accounting functions
• Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes
• Experience in conducting audits
• Extensive knowledge of budget processes
• Ability to effectively manage and monitor financial data
• Relevant certification or degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities
• Strong analytical and strategic planning skills
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and efficiency
• Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on data
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
