Job Summary: Inspection of compressors and performing vibration analysis & detailed reports on turbo machinery, tear down and repairs to turbo compressors in our portfolio, servicing of IR equipment on or off site. Occasional vibration analysis on other equipment (Rotary Screw compressors, fans) May provide technical service via phone to the customer.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Product: Provides diagnostic analysis, repair and/or preventative maintenance of customer products in service shops or installations atcustomer locations.
Reports: Prepares and submits written reports of in-house or site visit inspections with recommendations.Reviews and edits reports before sending to customer.
Training: Trains employees and occasionally provide information sessions to customers regarding the equipment they have.
Service Bulletins: Assists in development of service bulletins, procedures, etc. for both warranty products and out-of-warranty service.
Other responsibilities as assigned.
Experience Required:
Excellent knowledge of all the mechanical aspects of the machinery/product line. Must be able to read mechanical and electrical drawings, good math aptitude. Excellent communication skills required to explain operations and maintenance of products to engineer level.
Education/Training Required:
Matric Certificate, technical certificate preferable N5/N6. Good computer skills necessary
Valid trade test certificate, Millwright and/or Mechanical Fitter / Electrician.
Vibration analysis preferable CAT2. Knowledge of Emerson AMS CSI Software.
