Typical work hours are M-F, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm; hours may vary based on the requirements of critical business demand.
Hiring hourly range: $34 – $38 (hourly/salary rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data).

The Lead Industrial Technician is responsible for providing an advanced level of expertise in responding to work orders, troubleshooting, and providing preventive and corrective maintenance on the facility mechanical, electrical and HVAC equipment and systems in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
The Lead Industrial Technician will perform daily general duties, including but not limited to the following:
Review and closure of WOs in the CMMS system
Mentoring and coaching of other technicians on the team
Providing an advanced level of expertise in responding to work orders, troubleshooting, and providing preventive and corrective maintenance on the facility mechanical, electrical and HVAC equipment and systems in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing facility mechanical systems, facility HVAC equipment and systems, and pneumatic and/or hydraulic systems.
Conducting preventive maintenance inspections and performing required preventive maintenance actions such as lubrication, cleaning, filter changes, and more.
Maintain 24x7 operations of all critical building support systems (HVAC/Mechanical/Plumbing/Electrical/Lab support/etc.)
Provide support to building operations and maintenance teams with development of strategies that help create processes/programs able to sustain low operating costs. Performs evaluations and trains teams to identify/eliminate waste, reduce operating/ maintenance costs and reduce system failures
Technical knowledge of industrial electrical/mechanical systems with the ability to prioritize/assign/track/trend equipment history
Write/modify maintenance work orders to improve equipment performance
Ability to diagnosis equipment issues and repair or cause to repair
Performing preventive maintenance on mechanical systems and control and operating systems, as scheduled in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Responding and providing service and feedback to the customer on all work orders while assuring compliance to codes, regulations, and industry standards.
Recommending measures to improve maintenance methods and equipment performance.
Analyzing and resolving work problems, or assisting workers in solving work problems
Understanding company policies and enforcing safety regulations. Performing daily duties of the position in a safe manner by following proper safety guidelines such as job hazard analysis and lockout/tag-out procedures while wearing PPE as required.

Minimum Requirements:
High School diploma or demonstrated equivalent.
Five years of experience as an Industrial Technician in a pharmaceutical, medical, laboratory or related industrial grade environment, or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to work in a highly regulated environment and diagnose and troubleshoot ventilation equipment, pumps, fans, chillers, rooftop AHU’s, split systems, compressors, refrigeration, and more.
Strong mechanical skills learned through previous work experience and the ability to work safely with 3-phase power up to and including 480V.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and a comprehensive understanding of large building mechanical and electrical systems
Ability to identify and correct any safety-related issues and perform independent equipment evaluations to identify potential equipment failures.
Ability to obtain site specific security access including all applicable background checks.
Ability to pass a medical evaluation for respirator use and successfully complete a fit test for each type of respirator needed for the position or for an approved alternate respirator that provides equal or better protection from identified hazards.
Ability to work overtime when required, including holidays and weekends.
Ability to obtain an appropriate driver's license issued by the State Department of Motor Vehicles, as requested.
Must be a United States citizen or permanent resident.

Ability to differentiate colors pertaining to wire color-coding
Special Requirements:
Wear steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats, and other Personal Protective Equipment as needed.
Cope with demands (stressors) that are associated with the job and/or the work environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a GMP or similar regulated environment
Experience working as a lead in operations and maintenance
Experience diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing pumps, motors, gearboxes, bearings, supply and exhaust fans, power transmission components, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and more.
Experience performing pipefitting, welding, fabrication, and millwright related work.
Experience programming, troubleshooting and/or repairing HVAC with building automation systems (especially Honeywell/Siemens) in an industrial or research facility environment.
Understanding of Automation Systems (BAS) or Energy Management systems.
Experience in software programming, particularly in graphics and sequence of operations.
Knowledge of building automation system software supporting HVAC, water, steam, and power distribution (such as Honeywell and Siemens).
