  SERVICE REP

  The role of a Service Representative at Loyola Medicine is essential in promoting a positive patient experience and ensuring efficient clerical operations. Here are the key responsibilities and qualifications for this position:

  Job Responsibilities:

  Greeting Patients: Welcome and assist patients as they enter the physician practice. Your warm and friendly demeanor sets a positive tone for their visit.

  Phone Management: Answer office phones professionally and assist callers by scheduling appointments and addressing inquiries.

  Patient Registration: Efficiently check in patients, collect accurate demographic information, input data into the electronic system, and verify insurance details to ensure the patient's records are up-to-date.

  Check-Out Assistance: Assist patients during the check-out process, provide guidance on referral processing, and assist with scheduling future appointments.

  Financial Transactions: Collect co-pays and accurately post charges related to the patient's visit. Maintain financial records with precision.

  Charge Entry: Enter charges into the system accurately and handle patient balances professionally.

  Minimum Education and Qualifications:

  Education: An Associate's degree, alternatively, equivalent training acquired through work experience or education may be accepted. Training in general administration, business, healthcare, or a related field is preferred.MEDICAL ASSISTANT

  Education:

  High School Diploma or GED.

  BLS CPR by the American Heart Association.

  Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program.

  Alternatively, one year of Medical Assistant work experience can be substituted for the successful completion of an accredited medical assistant program.

  In summary, the Medical Assistant's primary responsibilities include providing direct patient care, handling patient registration, scheduling appointments, and performing various office-related tasks.

  To qualify for the position, candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and have completed an accredited Medical Assistant Program, or they can substitute this educational requirement with one year of relevant work experience as a Medical Assistant.
