Description We are in the process of expanding our team in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and are currently seeking a Senior Technical Accounting Manager. This role is instrumental in our Hi Tech Engineering industry, and involves overseeing technical accounting issues and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. You will be part of a dynamic team, contributing to the integrity of financial reporting and compliance in our workplace.

Responsibilities:

• Offering expert advice on complex accounting issues, inclusive of revenue recognition, lease accounting, and financial instruments.

• Taking the lead in developing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with US GAAP.

• Keeping up to date with changes in accounting regulations and standards, analyzing their impact on the organization, and recommending suitable actions.

• Implementing training programs for staff members on technical accounting matters and best practices.

• Coordinating with external auditors during audits and providing necessary documentation and explanations regarding technical accounting matters.

• Collaborating with various departments, such as finance and accounting, operations, and legal, to ensure a comprehensive understanding and implementation of accounting policies.

• Playing an integral role in M A accounting, including diligence, opening balance sheet valuation, and the annual goodwill impairment assessment.

• Assisting with month end close and consolidation procedures focused on more complex areas and those that require multi-location coordination.

• Regularly performing and/or reviewing internal controls in adherence with SOX.

• Ensuring new acquisitions are integrated into the corporate structure and prepared for monthly reporting requirements.

• Collaborating with our EMEA headquarters to ensure compliance with US GAAP reporting and support statutory audits by providing guidance and assistance throughout the process to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Requirements • Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role

• Must have a strong foundation in Technical Accounting

• Knowledge and experience in SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley is required

• Proficiency in SEC Reporting is essential

• Experience in Public Accounting Audit is essential

• A valid CPA certification is mandatory

• Demonstrated Leadership Skills are required

• Familiarity with the Hi Tech Engineering industry is advantageous

• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
