　　Summary / Role PurposeThe Senior System Engineer role will be to spearhead administration and support of Windows Servers and Active Directory environment. The role will be instrumental in delivering Windows Standard Operating Environment, playing a pivotal role in the infrastructure, engineering applications, cutting-edge automation, and monitoring tools. The Windows Systems Engineer may, from time to time, lead corporate IT projects in accordance with team goals and objectives. This role will also be responsible for maintaining relationships with the business and driving tasks related to local requirements.As a Senior Engineer this role will help deliver Windows Infrastructure with an eye toward observability, automation, and continuous improvement.

　　Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesDeploy new and rebuild existing Window Servers, and maintain configuration proceduresDesign and implement lifecycle management strategies for core Windows InfrastructureArchitect, implement and support multi-site hybrid Active Directory environmentTroubleshoot technical issues related to Windows Servers and Active Directory environmentPerform system monitoring, verifying integrity and availability of server resources and key processesManage & perform troubleshooting of issues related to core windows services like DNS, DHCP, DFS, IIS and Print ServicesConfigure, manage and troubleshoot Group PoliciesAnalyze current Active Directory environment to identify both technical and operational challenges and develop continuous improvement of action plansAccountable for maintaining server and security configurations in compliance with established best practices and baseline configurationsUnderstand local customer needs and develop solutions to address themReview Windows Server Event Logs and perform root-cause analysisAdminister and optimize Windows Server and AD Infrastructure to ensure high degree of availability and appropriate resource managementDesign/develop PowerShell scripts for automation of operational processes, where appropriatePerform performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimizationas requiredMaintain documentation of domain technologies including installation, configuration and appropriate troubleshooting stepsEstablish and maintain relationships with business, third-party and vendorsLead Windows infrastructure related projects for system upgrades, migrations and new implementationsIdentify opportunities to innovate, extend and enhance service delivery wherever possible

　　Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and ExperienceBachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related disciplineA minimum of 5 years of working experience on Windows (preferably as a Windows System Administrator)Experience in building and managing Windows systems in multi-tenant enterprise environmentsMust have experience managing multi-site Active Directory environment including replication topology, OU design, Group Policy Configuration, AD security and permissions, AD attributes, LDAP queries, AD Sites, and other AD-related servicesExperience configuring and administering Windows services such as DNS, DHCP, DFS, Certificate Authority, Patch Management, Failover Clustering etc.Must have experience automating tasks and procedures and a minimum of 2 years of working knowledge on PowerShell scripting a d code managementExperience with disaster recovery procedures and performance monitoring toolsExperience working on cloud services like Microsoft AzureExperience working with virtual infrastructure like VMWare ESXiGood understanding of a broad spectrum of infrastructure technologies and secure computing environments like Network, Storage and DatabaseGood understanding of ITIL processes
