Amazon's database offerings like DynamoDB, ElastiCache, Neptune, DocumentDB, Timestream, Keyspaces, and Managed Blockchain are massively scaled services that make up a critical piece of the internet today.

　　The candidate selected must obtain and maintain a security clearance at the TS/SCI with polygraph level. Upon start, the selected candidate will be sponsored for a commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.

　　Key job responsibilities

　　Have strong Linux & Networking Fundamentals. The ideal candidate will have deep experience working with Linux, preferably in a large scale, distributed environment. You understand networking technology and how servers and networks inter-relate. You regularly take part in deep-dive troubleshooting and conduct technical post-mortem discussions to identify the root cause of complex issues.

　　Love to code. Whether its building tools in Java or solving complex system problems in Python, the ideal candidate will love using technology to solve problems. You have a solid understanding of software development methodology and know how to use the right tool for the right job.

　　Think Big. The ideal candidate will build and deploy solutions across thousands of devices. You will strive to improve and streamline processes to allow for work on a massive scale.

　　About the team

　　The ADC Non-Relational and Emerging Database Services team consists of a mix of Systems Engineers, System Development Engineers, and Software Engineers. We take our company credo to heart: "Work hard. Have fun. Make history". We love what they do and instinctively know how to make work fun.

　　We are pioneers in the arena of mechanistic improvement for the burdens associated with designing, deploying, and operating a managed service. The tools and services we build are tools that engineers want to use, instead of just being required to use.

　　Basic Qualifications

　　3+ years of programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby experience

　　4+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

　　2+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

　　4+ years of deploying and operating in a Linux/Unix environment experience

　　Knowledge of at least one modern programming language such as C, C++, Java, or Perl

　　Experience leading the design, build and deployment of complex and performant (reliable and scalable) software solutions in production

　　Preferred Qualifications

　　1+ years of development/programming/scripting language (Python/Java/Bash/Perl) experience

　　Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations

　　Experience taking a leading role in building complex software or computing infrastructure that has been successfully delivered to customers

　　Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $121,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
