Job Overview:
The Senior Structural Draftsman will support the existing drafting team on both existing and upcoming projects.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Complete drafting requests in a timely manner & of a standard in line with project &
company expectations.
Requests may consist of, but not limited to, the following types of drawings:
Installation Aids
Crane Lift Charts
Vessel & Barge Deck Layouts
Procedural Storyboards
Vessel & Barge Seafastening
Field Layouts
Rigging Arrangements
Alignment Sheets
Ensure the drafting & design review process is followed.
Accurately manage & maintain electronic and hard copy filing throughout the life of drawings.
Build and maintain sound working relationships with all project personnel.
Positively contribute to improving existing processes.
Any other duties that may be assigned on an ad hoc basis.
Essential Qualifications and Education:
Diploma or other Technical Qualification or equivalent experience
Minimum 2-5 yrs of engineering drafting/design experience in the Offshore and Subsea Oil & Gas Industry or Onshore Petrochem. or mining industries.
Preferred Qualifications and Education:
AutoCAD 2D & 3D - Proficient user (minimum)
Inventor &/or Solidworks - would be highly regarded
Outlook, Excel, Adobe Reader - Proficient user.
