Rent The Runway, Inc. seeks a Senior Staff Engineer at its Brooklyn, NY location.DUTIES: Design and develop software solutions to meet the needs of Rent The Runway’s business. Responsible for the membership subscriber platform, and build software services and APIs to support new features and growth of customer base. Responsible for reviewing and/or creating software architecture and integrations across the engineering organization. Implement critical product features and work on technical infrastructure to enable performance and scaling. Use a Java service-oriented architecture to create RESTful APis that power Rent The Runway website, mobile app and site, and warehouse technology. May be assigned to projects that utilize Dropwizard, RabbitMQ, Redis, MySQL, and MongoDB technologies. Will develope highly scalable systems using a variety of tools and languages, including Java, Ruby, and multiple open-source technologies. Participate in all aspects of agile software development including design, implementation, and deployment. Define architectural improvements to enable orders-of-magnitude growth in traffic and order volumes and write clean, testable, and efficient code. Mentor junior engineers to aid in their skill growth and career development, and create various tools for use by other engineers. May require to travel/telecommute. REQUIREMENTS: Employer requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or related technical field plus 72 months in job offered, Senior Software Engineer, Software Developer, or computer related occupation.
