Job summary:
As an Executive Director in the Bank Controller, Accounting Policy and Reporting organization consisting of the Bank Controllers, Corporate Accounting Policy and Reporting teams. The Bank Controllers team is responsible for the Legal Entity Controller (LEC) functions for JPMorgan Chase Bank N.A. (Lead Bank), JPMorgan Chase & Co (Parent Co) and JPMorgan Chase Holdings LLC (JPMCH), including on-going capital monitoring and adequacy. The group is also accountable for the Firmwide Legal Entity (LE) strategy and simplification agenda, and for managing the Firmwide LE reorganizations & capital actions (RCA policy), affiliate support documents (ASD policy) and Reg W governance. The firm's legal entity strategy continues to evolve as a result of various initiatives including Resolution & Recovery, regulatory changes, current events (i.e., Brexit) and strategic acquisitions. As part of the regulatory and controls agenda, the firm established the Legal Entity Strategy team to influence legal entity rationalization, reduce operational complexity and risk while supporting new investments, business expansions and facilitating execution of legal entity governance and control strategic priorities.
Job responsibilities:
Lead and oversee execution for a broad range of firmwide legal entity strategy, controls and governance related strategic priorities
Collaborate with senior management across lines of business, Legal, Tax, Resolution & Recovery and other Corporate functions to execute the Firm's legal entity simplification commitments and to evaluate proposals to create new operating legal entities
Provide advice on legal entity structures related to mergers & acquisitions
Facilitate preparation of the Firm's Resolution Plan Legal Entity Rationalization Narrative and other regulatory reporting
Effectively chair Legal Entity Strategy Group Forum, consisting of senior representation from all LOBs and various Corporate functions
Develop, enhance and implement policies, standards and procedures, as required
