About Senior Sourcing Specialist

  Define the scope and strategy for medium to high complexity sourcing events. You will Identify, develop, and qualify sourcing opportunities based on spend, value opportunity, risk and resource availability. Develop and present proposed objectives, strategy and project plan to partners and sponsors, obtain approvals and align sponsorship and resources needed to move project into active execution.   Compensation Minimum:$76,000 / year

  Compensation Maximum:$125,000 / year

  Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location.

  Primary Accountabilities

  You will defines the scope and strategy for medium to high complexity sourcing events.

  You will Identify, develop, and qualify sourcing opportunities based on spend, value opportunity, risk and resource availability.

  Develop and present proposed objectives, strategy and project plan to partners and sponsors, obtains approvals and aligns sponsorship and resources needed to move project into active execution.

  Develop contract terms and conditions by negotiating with suppliers, involving internal subject matter experts, to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes while supporting overall business objectives.

  Be the subject matter expert for assigned supplier contracts. Assure compliance with contract approval process and adherence to contract standards. Support team members in contract management from award to completion or termination.

  Market the value of strategic sourcing to management and internal customers.

  Provide reporting to department leaders to help them understand spend, sourcing project activity, risks, opportunities and results.

  Establish, develops productive senior business leader relationships with assigned departments to understand their business objectives and sourcing needs.

  Lead the entire sourcing process for RFxs, renewals, new contracts, etc. and oversees the project management process (e.g. scope, time, communication, risk mitigation, change management).

  Uses knowledge of department operations, market intelligence and defined sourcing objectives to help evaluate complex competitive offerings and determine best overall offer for a product or service.

  Compares supplier bids across financial parameters and identify expected timing of savings/value cash flows. Assess qualitative trade-offs between the different supplier proposals.

  Specialized Skill Requirements

  Demonstrated experience providing customer-focused solutions or service.

  Knowledge of sourcing practices including RFxs, contract negotiation, market intelligence.

  Solid understanding of supplier performance management techniques.

  Solid knowledge employing advanced end-to-end strategic sourcing processes, practices and tools to complex spend categories.

  Demonstrated experience leading medium to large projects.

  Solid knowledge and understanding of contract negotiation techniques.

  Solid knowledge of project management practices.

  Solid knowledge understanding of goods and services contract terms.

  Solid knowledge of preparing reports, charts and presentations.

  Demonstrated experience with project management methodologies, practices, techniques and tools.
