  Are you excited about building high-performance robotic systems that can perceive, learn, and act intelligently? The Amazon Robotics team is taking fastest steps ahead in the same direction.

  We are seeking Senior Software Engineers to help us improve our existing and upcoming robot's mobility, Scheduling, Fleet management, Controls, & Manipulation. As a Senior software engineer, you will help plan the roadmap, build a software architecture, implement, test, and monitor services in our robotic team. You will also have the opportunity to learn and be a part of an interdisciplinary team building all parts of the robot hardware and software stack.

  Basic qualifications

  5+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems

  8+ years of programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design

  6+ years of professional software development experience

  3+ years of experience as a mentor, tech lead OR leading an engineering team

  *Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience. *Experience running code on physical systems (e.g. robots, machinery, automotive, aerospace, etc) *Experience building pieces of large scale production software (e.g. service oriented architecture across many teams, continuous deployment, monitoring and alarming) *Technical leadership experience (e.g. owning architecture level decisions).

  Boston, MA, USA

  Basic Qualifications

  5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

  5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience

  5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

  Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

  Preferred Qualifications

  5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

  Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
