What we do:
The CSX team is an experienced team of software engineers that works across the entire Trade Desk platform. Business people, engineers, and support experts come to us with significant opportunities to generate revenue, to delight our customers, and to increase operational efficiency via automation and tooling.
A unique aspect of this team is that we operate outside the due-date based grind of feature teams, which is typical for many software companies. We ship features when they are ready, not when the calendar tells us to.
What you'll do:
You will be working across the entire Trade Desk platform. You are not confined to any single technology domain. You have the opportunity to define our work as a team. Find opportunities, pitch them, own them end-to-end.We focus our attention on the biggest opportunities available to us. You will have a lot of novel technological experiences on this team.
Who you are:
You're a relentless collaborator who can gather expertise and requirements from multiple domains and synthesize it into stable, well-factored software releases. You have the ability to recognize and mitigate the risks around the software and process changes you are making. You have C# experience, or the ability to learn it quickly, and deep understanding of system design and data persistence. SQL (T-SQL) proficiency is a big plus.Knowledge of ad-technology and UI development (React/TypeScript/etc.) is a plus.
Variety of technical opportunity is one of the best things about working at The Trade Desk as a software engineer which is why we do not expect you to know every technology we use when you start. What we care about is that you can learn quickly and find solutions to complex problems using the optimum tools for the job. What you know is less important than how well you learn and innovate. We don't need engineers who know all the answers; we need engineers who can invent the answers no one has thought of yet, to the questions yet to be asked.
The Trade Desk does not accept unsolicited resumes from search firm recruiters. Fees will not be paid in the event a candidate submitted by a recruiter without an agreement in place is hired; such resumes will be deemed the sole property of The Trade Desk. The Trade Desk is an equal opportunity employer. All aspects of employment will be based on merit, competence, performance, and business needs. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, marital status, age, national origin, ancestry, physical or mental disability, medical condition, pregnancy, genetic information, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, veteran status, or any other status protected under federal, state, or local law.
