NICE, VoApps is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team. You will play a vital role in enhancing our contact center solutions through the development of advanced NLP algorithms and models.
VoApps is part of NICE and provides innovative voicemail solutions to help businesses reach mobile contacts with consideration and compliance. VoApps' DirectDrop Voicemail is a patented SaaS solution transforming call center operations and efficiency.
You will join our Engineering Team within the VoApps team alongside experienced software engineers. We are seeking to grow this critical team to increase our ability to fulfill our feature roadmap. We are looking for someone experienced, independent, skilled, and motivated who is interested in our technology products and building software.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESYou design and develop quality software that (mostly) makes sense if you look at it a year later.You develop unit, integration, UI automation tests as needed.You participate in agile planning, prioritizing, and codification of requirements.You work closely with colleagues ensuring your design meets requirements.You triage production software issues.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEExperience [5 years] professionally developing software.Experience with Ruby/Rails framework.Experience or interest in learning Elixir.Solid software engineering theory and methodologies.Creative problem-solving ability.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Excellent debugging and root-cause analysis skills.Able to be self-directed in the investigation of production support escalations, documentation, and resolution of those issues.Experience or interest in learning Heroku (PaaS).
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEExperience with front-end web technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS).Experience developing software telephony systems (SIP, RTP).Experience developing software for large scale enterprise products.Experience with test automation and performance monitoring tools (e.g. Specs).Experience with AWS.
EDUCATIONMinimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience.
