Our field services keep customer plants/ metering systems operating safely, consistently and economically.
This new role, based in Lagos, Nigeria will lead all aspects of the Service function for the MEA, and will be accountable for providing aftermarket services such as the start-up, commissioning as well as maintenance of Rosemount Analytical Products and Systems/ shelters including Fire & Gas Detectors, Liquid Analyzers, Combustion Analyzers, Continuous Gas Analyzers, Cascade, CEMS, Process Gas Chromatographs, RTG and Measurement Products. Provide outstanding services to Customers that improve Customer dedication and Customer happiness with Emerson. Pro-actively work with customers to grow after-sales services revenue.
Your role responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
Carry out the Start-up & Commissioning activities, fault analysis/ investigation and repairs activities of the Analytical Systems and Products, RTG, also Measurement Products including planning, execution, and reporting to Customers.
Provide sophisticated technical support to Customers for the maintenance of Analytical Systems as well as associated products such as Fire & Gas Detectors, Liquid Analyzers, Combustion Analyzers, Continuous Gas Analyzers, Cascade, CEMS, the Process Gas Chromatographs, the RTG, as well as Measurement Products.
Carry out site surveys, Site Walk Downs, and assessment of Analytical/ Measurement/ RTG installed base for upgrades and Consulting opportunities.
Carry out field modifications, upgrades independently or under supervision of a Project Manager as applicable.
Guide and mentor FSEs in solving issues, conduct training, and provide support in brought up service matters.
Develops a business plan and sales strategy for the market that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability.
Responsible for LTSA planning and execution in accordance with the contract/ AMC scope and T&Cs.
Develop Customer relationship to ensure long term Customer dedication, also growth of service business.
Any other duties as deemed appropriate by your line manager.
What do I need to be considered for this role?
Qualified in an Engineering field (Instrumentation/Electronics/Electrical or Mechanical)
8-10 years hands-on experience as a Service, Project, or Instrument Engineer in a process control environment with a particular emphasis on commissioning and start-up of on-line analyzers, repair, and servicing of Emerson Analytical products/systems, and /or competitor products & systems.
Strong in computer (MS Office and other engineering software)
Confirmed knowledge of C&I theory, operation & maintenance of on-line liquid, gas analyzers, Gas Chromatographs, and Petroleum Measurement standards
Have a sound knowledge of our analytical, Measurement and RTG products (application, service & operation)
Ability to conduct customer training on theory, operation, and maintenance of analyzers, Measurement as well as RTG products.
Must be proficient in the English language.
