A Place to Be Proud.ResponsibilitiesMaintains a highly available server and service application architecture.Serves as a subject matter expert on Apache and IIS system administration, Java, and .NET web application deployments. Manages general server configurations, including patch installation, web server security, SSL certificates, and backups.Provides long-term performance improvements and capacity planning recommendations. Performs in-depth technical monitoring and root cause analysis for server issues including using application and server event logs and available tools.Recommends tuning adjustments to resolve performance and configuration issues, provides input and insight on application design, installation, testing, and build processes, and sets standards for the configurations of new applications.Assists with ongoing enterprise security initiatives, application release process improvements and automation, and mentors team members on system configuration and architecture best practices.Collaborates with infrastructure, security, risk, and applications teams to ensure optimal performance of applications, services application architecture and troubleshooting, and creates PowerShell scripts for common and repetitive environment management items.Identifying and implementing disaster recovery protocols per business continuity requirements.QualificationsEducation Requirement:Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience.Skills:Moderate/Strong understanding of Windows Server, load balancers, general networking, and firewall concepts.Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.Ability to mentor the Applications teams on best practices that impact the environment.Interest in on-going training and certifications.Ability to lead the charge in researching new server technologies to improve current processes.Desire to take ownership of your work.Ability to verify server health and performance post-downtimes.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
