About Senior Sales Executive, Software - Sustainability Platform

  This is an exciting opportunity to specialise in and lead sales for UL's Sustainability and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Data Management Software offerings to UL's client base. You would primarily be selling our UL 360 products ESG Reporting | UL (https://www.ul.com/services/portfolios/sustainability-and-environment-solutions/esg-reporting) .

  Under minimal supervision, the Senior Sales Executive is responsible for new account development and/or expanding existing accounts within an established geographic territory (Japan). Promotes and enables adoption and implementation of UL 360 products and services, evaluates and analyzes customer needs, and best positions UL to win renewals.

  Identifies and/or pursues prospects through various lead generated activities, including tradeshow, direct mailing, advertising, cold-calling, on key industry players and referral program.

  Serves as main point of client contact for specialty Software products / services throughout sales cycle.

  Maintains ongoing relationships after initial sale has closed in order to effectively convert software renewals.

  Meets with prospects to understand their purchase decision makers, decision making process criteria, and their needs.

  Develops sales presentations for potential new clients. Leads the sales presentations in support of growing the clientele for ULs services.

  Responsible for meeting with and presenting to the highest profile/potential clients.

  Provides value propositions, handles objections, prepares quotes, and closes sales by getting prospects’ commitments.

  Supports smooth hand-off of customer to implementation teams or S&A customer success post-sale.

  Focus on customer satisfaction, account growth, and sustaining customer loyalty.

  Identifies and resolves a wide range of issues with little or no supervision.

  Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices.

  Performs other duties as directed.

  University bachelor’s degree or equivalent plus minimum 8 years of experience in sales.

  Prior experience in software/solution/services sales required.

  Strong technical and business foundation, including formal account planning, sales strategy development, sales tracking, portfolio selling, and measurement.

  Requires the ability to gain cooperation of others, conduct presentations of technical information concerning specific projects or schedules to senior level management and customers.

  Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.

  Verbal and written communication skills in both Japanese and English.

  Significant business travel and work outside of the office required.

  ESG domain experience will be a plus
