What is the job about?
We at Grundfos Canada are looking for a Senior Sales Engineer to join our Commercial Building Services (CBS) sales team.
As a Senior Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining, building, and developing relationships with several key stakeholders in the CBS segment, including but not limited to wholesalers, contractors and consultant engineers. You will secure profitable business for Grundfos Canada in order to achieve or ideally exceed defined sales targets, within the cost budget.
You will be responsible for clients in BC and Alberta with a focus on customers in the Greater Vancouver Metropolitan area.
This position will report to the CBS National Sales Manager for Canada, is remote, and you can be based anywhere in the Greater Vancouver area.
Your main responsibilities :
According to your sales target, work out sales strategy and sales budget in the specific business area of the specific region.
Develop a designated customer base including preparation of budgets and promotional activities.
Maintain good relationships with dealers, building project owners, engineering contractors, design institutes, consulting firms, and authorities.
Monitor product sales, customer sales reports and other KPI’s to ensure we are on track to deliver our targets, and take corrective actions as required in a timely manner.
Identification and development of new business opportunities.
Identify and implement value-added services and enhance customer relationship.
Develop and maintain a significant project pipeline.
Drive and coordinate project sales.
Achieve agreed sales volumes and contribution targets.
Provide technical support and solutions to project owners, consultants, contractors, and dealers.
Conduct technical presentations for new product launch and training.
Support tender and contract terms negotiation.
Work on project tender either through dealers or directly in offer and technical submission.
Maintain an accurate CRM database to support sales and full customer management.
Your background :
The ideal candidate would have a target focused mindset, an enthusiasm for sales and the ability to influence and engage with all stakeholders.
We imagine that you have:
A Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience.
6 to 8 years of relevant work experience.
Subject matter expertise of delivering projects within a technically complex and diverse environment.
Experience in commercial engineering projects business.
Ability to lead projects or business process within Commercial Building Services.
Good communication skills, negotiation abilities and organizational skills.
Business and technical experience, with a talent for enabling productive communication between groups.
Experience in successfully engaging different groups of stakeholders in difficult and complex situations.
Experience using Microsoft office applications.
Familiarity with CRM and working with data.
Experience with project management systems and tools, e.g. Prince and SAP PS.
Experience in effectively handling the delivery of multiple medium complexity projects at the same time.
Management skills including project management, financial management, change management and facilitation.

The annual pay range for this position is $90,000 – 120,000. Actual pay will depend upon skill set, experience, and location.
Grundfos salary rates are benchmarked and reflect the target for new hire salaries for the position in Vancouver, BC.
