The team you will be a part of
The Treasury team performs treasury operations involving cash funds, foreign exchange, debt and capital management. Ensures that financial transactions, policies, and procedures meet organization objectives, needs, and regulatory body requirements.
This role in summary
This position will very closely work with the Global Treasury and Financial Risk Management team within Corporate Treasury based in Benton Harbor. This
role will interact closely with other Global Treasury and Regional Treasury team members, as well as with other Corporate Finance functions including
Accounting and Audit. We are looking for someone with an interest in the financial sector, attention to detail, and comfort with managing multiple
priorities at once.
Your responsibilities will include
1.Collect, review and upload Whirlpool’s global foreign exchange (FX) and commodity exposures.
Manage the monthly global FX netting process
Timely and accurately settle FX and commodity trades by working with the traders and cash desk
Ensure proper maintenance of Whirlpool’s derivative management system including loading FX and commodity trades and managing hedge accounting relationships, maintaining rates within the system.
Regulatory compliance including trade reporting and reconciliations with counterparties
Collection of property insurance valuations
Manage Bank account closing and opening process as well as KYC with banks and signatory changes
Update quarterly schedules for Guarantees, Comfort letters, Counterparty risk report, LOC guarantee report
Support accounting for cash activity and inter company loans with JE and Blackline reconciliation
Primary point of contact for internal and external auditor for Payments, FX and commodities
Minimum requirements
MBA Finance (not via distance learning / virtual learning)
3-4 years (Must have worked in similar role in financial service sector / commodity trading sector )
Preferred skills and experiences
Master’s Degree in Business Finance with 3-4 years of work experience
Proficiency with Excel and other MS Office products
Excellent oral and written communication skills (95% interactions will be with US
teams)
Stakeholder management experience
Financial modeling or accounting/financial statement analysis
