　　Siemens Technology is the central in-house research unit at Siemens and as such holds an outstanding position within Siemens' R&D facilities. We act as a strategic partner to support the business units with R&D services, drive the company’s intellectual property, collaborate with top universities worldwide, and support standardization activities for all business units and regions. Through its R&D activities in Germany, USA, Canada, China, India and Romania, we help secure the company's technological future and strengthen its ambition.

　　This position is available as Full-time or Part-time.

　　We make real what matters! This is your role:

　　In your new role as a senior research scientist you design IAM security modules and security architectures for Siemens’ products and solutions and you conduct applied research to develop new technologies.

　　You:

　　apply R&D results in projects within Siemens and IT worldwide and develop proof-of-concepts.

　　provide technical consulting and mentor partners from Siemens’ business units on security topics.

　　contribute in crafting reusable security building blocks as well as in securing large industrial and infrastructure solutions.

　　run research and customer projects, e.g., in the field of security architectures for public Cloud or Kubernetes-based infrastructures for Industrial IoT, contributions to evolving standards, development of security best practices, and contributions to open source software.

　　collaborate with national and international partners, both internally and at universities and research institutions.

　　actively share your know-how within Siemens and supervise interns and working students.

　　Use your skills to move the world forward.

　　You have completed your PhD or master‘s degree in computer science or similar with very good results, preferably with a focus on IT security, cyber security or information security or equivalent experience.

　　Besides, you have an advanced understanding of state-of the-art cyber security concepts and architectures.

　　You already gained long term experience in the area of software architectures and cyber security, preferably with a focus on IAM, e.g., Identity Federation, SSO (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML), securing service to service communication (service mesh / SPIFFE), access management and authorization (RBAC/ABAC/…), or related topics in the field of IIoT devices.

　　You score with experience in OT environments, agile software development and programming.

　　You have worked with cloud computing as an architect, in development and/or operation, especially Kubernetes, AWS, GCP, or Microsoft Azure.

　　You distinguish yourself by an innovative approach, pronounced communication stills, strong customer orientation, and a high degree of personal initiative and a team-player attitude.

　　You have handled medium-sized projects and are willing to occasionally travel to meetings and workshops with customers.

　　You have outstanding communication skills in the English language. Knowledge of German is a plus.
