Senior Agile Project Manager
Location: Hybrid / Home-based within US
Position Summary:
The role is to lead the project management of large, agile, and complex digital transformation projects for our client organizations. This role owns all delivery aspects of the project, adopting appropriate methods, managing the relationship with the client team, and orchestrating all Cohesive consulting and technical activities to deliver beneficial outcomes to our clients.
Digital transformation projects are designed to unlock value and build resilience within our client’s projects and businesses by delivering, operating, and optimizing their built assets. This position is customer facing, project KPIs and strong presentation skills are a must.
The Senior Project Manager utilizes their knowledge of industry ways of working, best in class subject matter expertise in the digital transformation area, and a passion for harnessing the value of data, which are critical to delivering a first-class service to our clients. Key to this will be the ability to understand business processes across Cohesive’s existing and prospective clients and interpret those processes in alignment with the technology solutions.
The Senior Project Manager has a broad range of skills, experience and capabilities and key to this is the ability to understand business challenges being faced by our clients, defining beneficial outcomes, capabilities required to deliver these, and then aligning business change, process change, and technology services in a structured and aligned way to deliver change.
The Senior Project Manager takes a role in guiding and supporting the more junior members of the team.
Your Day-to-Day / Responsibilities:
Client Management
Act as the main point of contact for the client for delivery of the contract scope and ensure that services are delivered in line with client expectations
Manage the client relationship and escalate issues as required
Manage stakeholders through effectively communicating project plans, progress, expectations, risks, assumptions, project KPIs and dependencies in a timely and clear fashion throughout the project
Manage strategic issues and Functional and Non-Functional requirements
Identify further opportunities for Cohesive with the client
Provide influence into the client organization and strategic advice on best ways of delivering change
Delivery Management
Ensure clarity of scope, program, budget and responsibilities and ensure that this is understood within the project team
Lead on managing the program, budget and any variations in scope
Ensure client governance and key gateways are delivered
Ensure that the Technical lead is effectively briefed on client requirements through the development, sign-off and communication of User Stories
Lead on the production and maintenance of the schedule of deliverables and a detailed delivery program
Ensure that assignment information is managed in accordance with Cohesive Operational Procedures
Manage the project financial administration & resource planning
Develop and maintain the project resource plans track delivery progress, produce client dashboard reports and hold regular reviews with the client
Review detailed design to confirm this meets the client’s functional and non-functional requirements
Create and manage the Project Risk & Opportunity Register and manage accordingly
Manage the Early Warning and Change Control process throughout the project
Agree on project success and acceptance criteria with all involved parties
Pro-actively identify and escalate any significant project concerns or issues
Development of UAT test plans and assess Client business readiness
Support clients with communications, roll out and training strategies
Ensure that the project is successfully closed, and the Learning from Experience process is completed
Commercial management, profit, contract reviews, extension paperwork etc.
People Management
Work with the line managers and team members to identify any development needs and provide any support that the team may need to learn and perform effectively on the project
Lead, communicate with and motivate the team
Guide and support junior team members, encourage continuous improvement, mentor them to enable their development and monitor performance and provide feedback.
What You Bring to The Team:
(Qualifications, Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience)
Qualifications
Degree and/or Higher National qualifications related to Architecture, Engineering, Construction, Information Management or Computer Science or AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) or equivalent work experience
Project Management qualifications e.g., Prince 2, APMP; Member of a relevant professional institutions e.g., ICE, APM, BCS
Knowledge / Experience
7+ years’ experience of which 5 years have been in a Project Management role on agile, complex and large digital transformation projects
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required
Experience in leading on projects
Experience of systems integrations and Agile Development project management methodologies
Experience with GIS systems and standards and an understanding of BIM including the BS1192 suite of documents and ISO 19650
Experience of developing communication, roll out and training programs
Experienced problem-solver, capable of efficiently providing complex solutions and working in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment
Knowledge of current digital trends
Excellent report writing and communication skills
Highly experienced in business development, stakeholder engagement and communication with clients
Experience managing projects in a consultancy environment
Experienced with recommending and leading business process changes
This is a full-time role expected to work 40 hours per week, hybrid or home-based, US.
Requires sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer (or any otherphysical requirements (https://www.bls.gov/ors/factsheet/visual-overview-of-physical-demands.htm) ). The role requires communication with managers, peers, and other colleagues of the company in person (on occasion), and by utilizing Microsoft Teams chat, calling, and meeting functions.

Experience of managing solutions on cloud platform (AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud)
Extended Project Management qualifications e.g., Prince 2, APMP
Experience implementing Maximo and/or Bentley AssetWise products
Knowledge of Digital Engineering and how it can add value and delivery efficiencies to existing processes and practices
