The position will be based in Bellevue, WA.This leader will manage the development of multiple ramp safety and innovation projects concurrently by working with suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, and a creative, critical thinker with knowledge of the aviation industry specifically related to ramp operations.Key job responsibilities- Product development which includes design, test and deployment of ramp equipment solutions.- Develop total cost of ownership (TOC) models to help deliver efficient solutions.- Negotiate contracts.- Work closely with training/learning teams to ensure proper support and documentation is available for each new equipment.- Track safety incidents and work closely with the Safety team to recommend solutions.- Lead cross-functional Safety Risk Analysis (SRA) to evaluate new equipment and modifications to existing equipment.- Develop and utilize improved metrics and data driving decision-making capabilities.- Improve overall organizational capability through systems, processes and talent development.- Drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organization.We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:Bellevue, WA, USA- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership- Travel up to 30% of the time- Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics or related field- 5+ years' experience in the ground transportation, freight forwarding, airline, cargo ground handling or airfreight industry.- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field- Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization- Experience working cross functionally with non-tech teams- MBA in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field- Subject matter expert in ramp operations, Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and/or Unit Load Devices (ULD).Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $114,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $212,600/year in our highest geographic market.
