Day in the Life of a Senior Program Manager
As a Senior Program Manager at Fluke, your daily responsibilities involve leading cross-functional teams globally, setting program targets, and maintaining process discipline. You'll navigate challenges by evaluating risks, leading change management, and applying Agile Program Management principles. With over 10 years of experience, your role includes inspiring collaborative team execution, coaching junior members, and ensuring the successful development and delivery of cutting-edge test and measurement tools and software.
Responsibilities
Lead cross-functional, geographically dispersed program teams through scoping, resource allocation, and target setting.
Maintain process discipline and own key performance indicators, ensuring alignment with Fluke-wide metrics.
Evaluate risks, identify potential blockers, and lead discussions on countermeasures, including risk mitigation plans.
Inspire collaborative team execution, coaching junior members, and fostering a culture of problem-solving.
Apply Agile Program Management principles, scoping projects, defining critical paths, and successfully managing projects of low to medium complexity.
Communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, adapting style appropriately for different audiences and purposes.
Create and manage budgets for projects of medium to high complexity, tracking status and addressing unplanned spending challenges.
Leverage strong knowledge of the entire product lifecycle and lead cross-functional program teams to support program activities.

The Fluke Program Management Office (PMO) is a dynamic and diverse team strategically located across the United States and Europe, including professionals based in Poland. Comprising nine experienced program managers, the PMO fosters a culture that highly values diversity and inclusion. Collaborating across geographic boundaries, the team collectively contributes to the success of Fluke's programs, leveraging their expertise and commitment to excellence.
Experience
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
A minimum of 10+ years of experience in developing system-level products, encompassing electronic hardware, embedded firmware, and application software within fully integrated systems.
Demonstrated ability to inspire collaborative team execution, including leadership of geographically dispersed cross-functional development teams.
Proven experience in coaching junior team members in program management.
Expertise in risk management, change management, and Agile Program Management, with a track record of successfully managing projects of low to medium complexity.
Personal Skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with individuals at all levels of the organization and adjust communication style as needed.
Strong team-building skills, demonstrating the ability to work with cross-functional, cross-geographic teams and coach team members for success.
