This Senior Program Administrative Supervisor role manages Community Living Services program administrative support for our disability and aging populations. They are responsible for managing the information system Service Management and Rate Tracking System (SMARTS) used by Community Living Services program area and working collaboratively with Community Living Services program staff and the Department of Information Technology. This classification must possess and apply in-depth/working program knowledge. Responsible for project management, supervision, planning, and policies and procedures. Oversee and assist in activities of subordinate Office Management Supervisors staff. 2. Manage the activities of program support, technology and office services support staff. This classification must possess and apply in-depth program knowledge. 3. Assign and schedule work and staff training sessions, approve absences, evaluate performance, monitor career development, train staff, and recommend the hiring, disciplinary actions and dismissal of staff 4. Conduct unit staff meetings; develop and implement team building activities. 5. Plan, develop and implement office management and department programs and policies that escalate to Division Head/County Administrator or County Board approval. 6. Responsible for developing and managing program budget, advising department and division management of in-depth budgetary considerations/decisions. 7. Identify alternatives to existing methods of unit and department operations to increase productivity, increase the level of service or decrease costs. 8. Manage projects and procedures relating to facilities management, space planning, risk management, information technology, telecommunications, records management, and support services. 9. Represent the department or County with other departments and outside agencies regarding program/office procedures and ensuring support for departmental objectives and county-wide issues. Monthly travel may be required to a different County building location (Apple Valley, MN for Supervisor Unit Meetings). The work is sedentary and requires no special physical demands. Frequent wrist and finger manipulation due to computer work, filing, compiling, or calculating. Equipment used may include, but is not limited to, computer, printer, scanner, peripherals, calculator, telephone, and copy and fax machines.
