Job Summary
Senior Procurement Manager – Maldives is an important position in Marriott Procurement cluster. Who reports & works under the direction of Area Director of Finance – Singapore & Maldives (Solid line reporting to ADOF) & Director of Procurement - APEC (Dotted line reporting). The person will be based in Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa.
Responsibilities includes supporting all Marriott hotels spread across Maldives by effectively Managing existing Vendor; focusing towards new vendor development, executing new national contracts & renewals of existing contracts, administering tender process, effectively managing logistics cost, market inflation, promoting diversity and Responsible sourcing, improving contract compliance, Talent development, work towards over all procurement cost improvement, process improvement across Maldives cluster in close coordination with different stake holders & respective procurement committees.
Also leads an establishing ethical working practice, across all procuring functionaries and vendors, through regular review and updating of the agreed policies as relates to the procurement functions.
Candidate Profile
Education & Experience (Required):
Graduation / bachelor’s degree
Post-Graduation or MBA is preferred
15+ years related work experience in Procurement / Supply chain.
Good understanding of various products & services associated with Hospitality procurement.
Hospitality work experience is highly preferred.
Flexible and willing to travel to meet business needs
Experience of working in Maldives market is preferred
Leadership / Supervisor Experience
Ability to lead and supervise team spread across team for achieving budgeted business resultsDuties & work Responsibilities
Consolidate high spent product category, rollout RFP & negotiate national, Multi property contract to achieve savings or cost avoidance.
Work towards agreed procurement strategies and ensure year on year improvement in purchase cost.
Adhere to Marriott standardized procurement methodology and ensuring governance.
Responsible for Procurement activities including and not limited to market survey, vendor sourcing, tendering process management, contracting, vendor development, vendor evaluation, vendor audits.
Keeping close tab on market survey & vendor audits conducted by team.
Regularly maintaining and reviewing Contract register for the market and administer national and multi-location contracts to improve savings and contract compliance.
Evaluate category specific spent behavior of the market/ hotel and recommending various cost saving opportunities.
Ensure compliance to ethical and transparent procurement processes thru regular reviews and coaching of team.
Regularly interacting with different stake holders such as Operations, Engineering, IT, Culinary, Finance, Rooms division to explore and work towards various cost and process improvements.
Conducting market research and keep abreast of emerging trends and business opportunities.
Closely monitor various market trends such as wholesale price, Retail price, Competitive price Analysis and work closely with hotels towards cost improvement opportunities.
Timely submission of various MIS reports such as Savings report, Compliance report, Diversity spent report, or any other related reports as per the required of business.
Continuously work towards grow and development of Procurement talent for the market.
Develop 5 SU supply (OS&E) supply partners for market, where required.
