Associate Specialist- Asset Management
We’re currently seeking a highly motivated and energetic professional to join our team as an Associate Specialist - Asset Management
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Under direct supervision, performs routine assignments and develops core job competencies with existing procedures by solving standard problems.
Support various Property Management Outcomes, including but not limited to: Acquisition, Receipt, Receiving and Identification, Relief of Stewardship, Records, Utilization, Physical Inventory, Maintenance, Closeout, and Subcontractor Control.
Maintains property accountability records by physically tagging accountable property, creating and updating asset records in Costpoint.
Actively participates in maintaining inventory control.
This includes acquired assets - analyze acquisition documentation to ensure all pertinent data is available (shipping documentation, etc.) to accurately record required data fields, such as part number, nomenclature, model, manufacturer, serial number, purchase order, acquisition value, Contract Number, Project ID, property type, user, location, etc.
Update official records to reflect inventory, movement, and relief of stewardship through shipment, transfer, loss, disposal through objective evidence obtained from incoming and outgoing shipping documentation, authorized transfer documents (DD1149, contract mod), excess property reports, etc.
Assist in applying knowledge to analyze, investigate and resolve property discrepancies.
Provide reports of discrepancies, loss of Government property, physical inventory results, audits and self-assessments, corrective actions, and other property-related reports as required.
Assist in analytical work to understand laws, regulations, policies, and procedures applicable to government property.
Coordinates property control activities to ensure continual accountability of government, is in accordance with applicable regulations and procedures.
Assist in developing electronic reports, records, diagrams, and charts to improve property functions.
Assesses anomalies deviating from processes and procedures and provides recommendations for corrective actions and resolutions to assure functional compliance.
Actively participates in the execution of corrective action plans.
Support internal and external property audits.
Coordinate with Local Property Administrators for the disposal of surplus or obsolete material and equipment.
Adhere and perform to Organizational Goals and receives general guidance on how to accomplish them.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma and 8 years' applicable experience. In lieu of experience, a bachelor's degree in business, supply management, or a related field may be substituted.
Costpoint experience preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications preferably Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Must be able to communicate effectively working in a collaborative environment and have strong organizational skills
Must be eligible for a SECRET security clearance (active clearance preferred)
