Join us and help drive innovation andsustainability in our projects.THIS POSITION CAN BE REMOTELY BASED WITHIN THE UNITED STATESPurpose:You will provide engineering support for the design of substation facilitiesfor voltages up to and including 765 kV for Worley and its Customers as anintegral part of the Power Networks team. This includes new substations andswitchyards, modifications, additions and upgrades to existing facilities.Responsibilities:Independently perform tasks that typically include:Substation physical design including overall engineering and analysis for newswitchyards and substations, additions and modificationsPreparation of specifications and provide procurement supportPreparation of engineering drawings including layout and general arrangementsfor all major equipment and structures required for high voltage switchyardsor substation. Drawings include site plans, plan and elevation views,grounding, conduit, lighting, lightning protection and shielding,control building arrangements and details, AC station service, DC systemsand Bills of Material.Perform auxiliar electrical power system studies including load flow, shortcircuit, voltage drop, protection and coordination, ampacity, andbattery sizing studies.Perform substation grounding calculations and studies, lightning protectionand insulation coordination, lighting, bus calculations, transformer andbus sizing calculations, fault calculations, and AC and DC auxiliarysystem sizing calculations.Perform proposal preparation, proposal estimates, and provide input toscope documents and client presentationsWork in a team-oriented environment with ability to work independently or aspart of a group when and as requiredResponsible for the quality assurance of the documents to the applicableWorley and client standardsCommitment to Customer service and ability to work independently on morevaried and complex tasks when requiredSupervise/coordinate other engineers of equal and lesser experience tosuccessfully deliver a project. Provides technical direction to subordinateteam members.Complete tasks in accordance with project procedures, applicable codesand/or standards, on schedule and within budgetDiscuss technical problems and communicate effectively with other projectpersonnel and outside CustomersPerform independent audits and reviews of technical workPerform the function of a team leader that is capable of solving complexissues and act as a lead engineer responsible for the quality of thedeliverablesInterface with other departmental staff, project management, and withoutside CustomersAbility to travel to job sites to perform site walkdown
