How will you make an impact?
As a part of the Physical Failure Analysis (PFA) software team, you will provide software leadership to a dedicated team of engineers working towards solutions that enable our semiconductor customers to tackle their most challenging yield issues. The core of our offerings are dual beam based TEM prep tools that generate small lamella samples, which are further analyzed by our TEM products. These tools are part of workflows that combine different preparation and imaging technologies with growing levels of automation.
Semiconductor technology is an integral part of our lives. Behind nearly every piece of technology that we interact with every day lies the untold story of an engineer that struggled to debug issues in their microchips. By using tools like the ones developed at Thermo Fisher, that engineer was able to drive progress in the industry and provide their solution to the world.
What will you do?
Lead a global SW team of 80+ engineers.
Define objectives and goals for the team and individuals.
Responsible for the people management of the software team. Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the software discipline and appropriate staffing of projects.
Safeguard software development capacity and capability.
Monitor and safeguard quality of the software team output (including the initiation of design reviews), among others by designing-in testability and diagnostics.
Pro-actively and constructively works together with colleague software managers both locally and across the sites.
How will you get here?
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field
Experience:
5+ years management experience in engineering programs or development teams
Proven ability to lead sophisticated engineering programs/projects through a defined and rigorous product management process
Proven ability to build consensus among key stakeholders that may not be under your management control
